Personal Development Workshop: BE EXCELLENT IN WORKPLACE!

BE EXCELLENT!

Once, there was a woodchopper with skills to saw 50 trees in his first month of working. In his second month, with more experience he was able to saw 60 trees. He got same results in the third month. Then in the fourth month, he was just able to saw 40 trees and slowly decrease into 30 trees only in the fifth month.

What happened?

Apparently, he forgot to sharpen the saw. He took action, sharpened the blade. After sharpened the blade, he started back to work. His productivity increased. Start from then, a woodchopper never forgot to sharpen his saw routinely.

Applied to workplace, people work to EARN and to LEARN. To earn more, you need to learn more, i.e.: upgrading your knowledge and competencies. Similar to previous story, a woodchopper have to consistently sharpen the saw (LEARN) to increase his results (EARN).

Ironically, most employees forgot to upgrade their knowledge and skills because of “busy” reason. And because of this, their “value” never increases. Therefore, we need to spare time and money to enhance our “value”. The higher our “value” the more we get paid.

Event Sales & Marketing Forum: The Social Media Sales Revolution


Melalui kesempatan ini saya mau menginformasikan bahwa efektif per Desember 2011 saya dan beberapa teman akan mengelola sebuah komunitas untuk para praktisi Sales dan Marketing Indonesia.

Nama komunitas ini adalah Sales & Marketing Forum, komunitas ini sudah berdiri sejak tahun 2001 dan sebelumnya di handle oleh Bp FX Hadi.
Karena satu dan lain hal, di penghujung tahun 2011 ini pak FX Hadi meminta saya dan beberapa teman untuk melanjutkan komunitas ini.

Event pertama akan kami adakan pada hari Kamis, 15 Desember 2011 jam 19.00 - 21.00 WIB bertempat di Hotel Atlet Century Park Jakarta, Jl. Pintu Satu Senayan, Jakarta 10270.

Dengan Topik "The Social Media Sales Revolution" dan pembicaranya adalah Dedy Budiman dan narasumber Bpk. Willy Hendrajudo – Consumer Marketing Manager DELL yang akan sharing mengenai kesuksesan DELL dalam mengelola Social Media.
